Offer #1 Dedicated training for up-coming gardener and horticulturist
This traineeship goes more in-depth about the specifics of setting-up and maintaining a garden or landscape property. If you already receive an education as a gardener in your home country, than this is your opportunity to expand your knowledge. You will work in close relationship with one of our companies certified landscape architects.
Practical works as a gardener and horticulturalist in Chloroplastes Company contain garden creation and garden maintenance. Construction works such as plantings, soil works, creation of rockeries, installation of irrigation systems, simple stone works (paving), creation of water gardens etc. will be part of your daily work during your traineeship as a gardener. Garden maintenance works include weeding, pruning, lawn maintenance etc.
This training is divided into two periods. The first period is from March to June. The second period is from September to December.

Offer #2 A general constantly traineeship from 1 to 6 months
We offer a general traineeship to anyone who needs practical experience in Mediterranean flora and fauna. You will work alongside our trained staff who will take you step by step through the specifics of Mediterranean gardening.
Offer #3 Traineeship for plant breeders and or plant producers
The Chloroplastes landscaping company also holds a small Native Plant Nursery providing special Mediterranean plants. Within this environment you will learn all there’s to know about the native plants that are specific for Crete. Either plants that will find their way into gardens close to the sea, or high-up in the mountains in a much dryer climate.
Offer #4 Professional training for landscape architects
This training includes; aside from going out in the field with a certified landscape architect, proper training in; landscape design and construction, drawing set-up and reading, landscape ecology, site design. Whenever possible you will be assigned real projects, providing them with valuable hands-on experience.
What we ask and what you get
Our company is based in the Western part of Crete in a beautiful green region of the Apokoronas. And all this just a few steps from the Cretan Sea!
We expect reliability and a self-sufficient work in the team. Previous knowledge of your profession is desirable as well as a basic knowledge in the English language.
At the end of your traineeship we hand you over a letter of recommendation and a certificate of completion. You can add these documents to your resume for future job applications.
